Cooma Community Garden workshops beginning soon.... watch this space

The Cooma Community Garden group want to promote growing vegetables and food on the Monaro, in backyards and in an allotment style community garden.

We hope to create a focal point for anyone who already grows vegetables and wants to get more from their garden; and for those who want to start, to learn how to create a garden from scratch.

Some of our aims are to grow organic food, nurture individuals, cultivate community cohesion, harvest seasonal foods and celebrate our diversity.

We are working to obtain community owned land to establish an allotment style community garden, where individuals and groups (like schools and TAFE) can lease a plot to grow.

Contact us if you would you like to:

  • Receive our newsletter
  • Put your name down for a garden plot

How will the Future Look?

Visit this fascinating site to understand how David Holmgren, a great leader in the Australian initiated Permaculture movement, describes our journey back through the looking glass.

We are running out of oil, our food costs are spiralling and our leaders quibble about 5 cents on the price of fuel.

This is the website of a real leader.
